My current ongoing project as of 2022, is graphite on Bristol. The full comic is expected to be a 42-page graphic novel by the end of working on it. Please enjoy what I have created so far down below. Ideal final product printing would be Risograph.
I enjoy comics as a form of storytelling due to the amount of detail you can put into each page. I like using loose borders such as body parts, word bubbles, sound effects, or 3D object shapes to create the paneling of a page. Then when I go back into line and shade I normally create more free-flowing borders to let the reader be able to move throughout the page’s plot in their own order, while still simultaneously understanding the story. I also enjoy comics and zines for their world-building and the drastic styles I can create through imagining the interworking of an environment or even a character’s psyche. Throughout the time I’ve been studying for my BFA at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago I have taken two Advanced Comic classes, as well as a Professional Practice-Comic Freelancers Guide class.
