Crochet bag for yarn storage and working on yarn projects!
Childs Trap (2023)
Handmade and recycled yarn (that was given and handmade by Allison Willaims), that was made into 3 nets, I then embroidered on top of the nets using thread, yarn, and frabri-solvy. These fiber pieces were then sewed together to make a womb capsule that I used in a performance piece about the complexities of parent and child relations.
Fiber Experience
Whether I’m on CTA or watching TV at home I always have some sort of fiber project going on in the background. I find the repetitive process to be very rewarding as well as the physical labor that goes into long durational fiber work to create visceral results. The study of material can create its own conceptual work if one is willing to work with a specific material for a long amount of time.
